Here at Pleasant Valley we are blessed to have an amazing crew of staff. All staff at Pleasant Valley Bible Camp are missionaries! Each family raises deputized support in order to serve at camp. Steve and Naomi Sponable
The Sponable family has been at PVBC since 2008. Steve serves as the Camp Director and Naomi serves as the Program Administrator. Their son Nicholas is attending Michigan Technological University and pursuing a degree in engineering; their son William is a Junior and their daughter Ella Mae is a Freshman, both at Ellsworth High School.
Nathan Zeeryp
Nathan has been on staff since 2013. Nathan serves as Operations Administrator, overseeing the day-to-day workings at camp. Kim has stepped down from her full-time positions at camp. Their three adult children are all married and there are two grandsons to keep them all busy.
John and Ruth Madsen
John served as Camp Director from 2007 until his retirement in 2012, and he continues his involvement as a member of the Executive Camp Board. Ruth continues to diligently serve in their retirement as camp's bookkeeper.
Beth Sommer
Beth has grown up at Pleasant Valley Bible Camp and now serves as PVBC's Housekeeping Supervisor. Her son, Edson, is 15 years old!
James and Barbi Wheaton
James and Barbi Wheaton officially joined the full-time staff of PVBC on Oct 14, 2024. James is working as Program Director alongside Naomi Sponable as well as helping in Maintenance alongside other staff and Barbi is managing the Craft shop and the Camp store. Their two children Blake (9) is in 4th grade and Sybil (7) is in 1st grade. Both kids are homeschooled and enjoy living at Camp.
