Our Team
Here at Pleasant Valley we are blessed to have an amazing crew of staff. All staff at Pleasant Valley Bible Camp are missionaries! Each family raises deputized support in order to serve at camp. Steve and Naomi Sponable
The Sponable family has been at PVBC since 2008. Steve serves as the Camp Director and Naomi serves as the Program Administrator. Their son Nicholas is attending Michigan Technological University and pursuing a degree in engineering; their son William is a Junior and their daughter Ella Mae is a Freshman, both at Ellsworth High School.
Nathan Zeeryp
Nathan has been on staff since 2013. Nathan serves as Operations Administrator, overseeing the day-to-day workings at camp. Kim has stepped down from her full-time positions at camp. Their three adult children are all married and there are two grandsons to keep them all busy.
John and Ruth Madsen
John served as Camp Director from 2007 until his retirement in 2012, and he continues his involvement as a member of the Executive Camp Board. Ruth continues to diligently serve in their retirement as camp's bookkeeper.
Beth Sommer
Beth has grown up at Pleasant Valley Bible Camp and now serves as PVBC's Housekeeping Supervisor. Her son, Edson, is 15 years old!
James and Barbi Wheaton
James and Barbi Wheaton are staff appointees currently raising deputized financial and prayer support. When they reach their financial goal they will move to camp to join full time staff. Once at camp James will be working as Program director alongside Naomi Sponable. Barbi will be heading up the craft shop and mall. They have two children; Blake (8), and Sybil (6).
Todd March & Family
Todd March is the newest addition to our full-time staff here at PVBC. He spent time last summer working on building projects and helping in the kitchen. Being obedient to God’s leading, Todd’s desire is to fill the Maintenance Supervisor position that has been vacant for some time. The process now is to establish a team to help support this endeavor. Todd and his family are looking for prayer warriors, as they know serving God in any ministry is not without trials. Todd is responsible for raising deputized financial support as a representative of PVBC. Once that funding goal has been met, Todd can begin his full-time service here at camp.
