ABOUT US

Our Mission

Pleasant Valley Bible Camp exists to present the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and to promote a healthy recreational program in a Christian atmosphere.  Pleasant Valley Bible Camp teaches the principles of the Word of God both by word and by example. We promote the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ through selected counselors, speakers, and staff members. We provide a safe and well balanced camping and recreational program in compliance with licensing procedures set by the State of Michigan.

Who We Are

Pleasant Valley Bible Camp is a non-denominational Christian camp open year-round in East Jordan, MI.  We are situated on eighty-five acres nestled in a beautiful valley adjacent to the Jordan River area of northern Michigan.  PVBC is centrally located between the villages of Central Lake, Bellaire and East Jordan and can be reached from either M-66 to the east or US-31 to the west.

We are licensed to accommodate 180 summer campers.

Recreational activities include go carts, miniature golf, swimming, rifle range, disc golf, archery, box hockey, 9-square, octoball, crafts, painting and leatherwork, canoeing, lawn games, and various ball games like basketball, volleyball, kickball, broomball, and softball. You can boat and fish at the lake or you can visit the four shops that make up the Pleasant Valley Mall.

During the winter season, you will find activities such as floor hockey, tubing, broomball, cross-country skiing, and our snack shop.

Other highlights include swimming in our indoor, heated pool; eating fantastic food; and walking along the trails adjacent to camp.

History

PVBC began as a recreation facility for a local church AWANA Club program. Very soon people began asking if they could bring youth groups to the camp for retreats. After several years of winter camping, a summer camp ministry began. The camp has been incorporated and is now governed by a board of directors. in 2018, PVBC celebrates 50 years in ministry!
